CEO & Management


Annette Read - Chief Executive Officer

Picture
Annette was appointed Mulleraterong Centre Chief Executive Officer in 2003.

A qualified Business Management Consultant, Annette has worked with a wide variety of businesses on strategic planning, quality, systems and continuous improvement. Annette's background also includes, Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Management and Media Sales with work in accounting and banking providing a solid foundation.

As a representative of Mulleraterong Centre, Annette is a member of the South West Disability Network and Community Southwest.
Volunteer roles include Business in the Community Business Mentoring, membership of the HHRC Committee and the Alexandra House Board of Management. Annette is a keen equine enthusiast and has been involved in the management of horse events in Canada, New Zealand and Australia and has been a Riding for the Disabled volunteer.

Born in Australia, Annette has lived in Canada and New Zealand for extended periods before returning to Australia in 2003.

Alison Dunn - Operations Manager

​Alison joined the Mulleraterong Team in 2010 and  has previously  worked in retail and hospitality, as well as owning her own hairdressing business.

​Alison has completed her Certificate IV in Disability, OH&S Representative course, Integrated Communication and Middle Management training, and has held a variety of roles including Program Instructor, OH&S Representative, Communication Coordinator and Quality Manager.
 
Alison won “Employee Of The Year” in the Southern Grampians, Powercor Ace Radio Business Awards in 2013.
 
In 2017 she became NDIS Quality Manager, which included  managing the Mulleraterong Quality Management System and developing and implementing best practice processes for Mulleraterong Centre’s NDIS business.

In March 2020 Alison became the Operations Manager, and leads the Mulleraterong team of dedicated support workers to provide quality supports.
 
​Alison says she loves working at Mulleraterong and being part of a positive organisation that encourages personal growth and individual outcomes.

Staff


Melissa Gould - Staff Replacement & Timetable Coordinator

Melissa started her administration  career with SGAE before  coming to work  at Mulleraterong Centre in 2003 as the Administration Assistant. She  fulfilled that role until the arrival of her first son in 2009, returning in 2010 to become the Support Plan Coordinator and following another addition to the family  in 2011, she returned in 2012. In addition to her other  numerous administration responsibilities, Mel has assumed the role of Timetable & Staff Replacement Coordinator and the Chief Fire Warden.

​Melissa completed her Certificate III in Business Administration through Mulleraterong and is currently undertaking a Leadership  training course.

Mel enjoys coming to work each day and managing  the  timetabling of approximately 25 staff and 62 clients into 110 program sessions and individual supports throughout each day.

Julie Donovan - Finance Officer

After moving from Melbourne to Hamilton in 2018 Julie took up the position of Bookkeeper at Mulleraterong.
Her previous occupations include medical receptionist, accounts payable and receivable.
​She has really enjoyed seeing the joy the clients and their carers get out of participating in the many activity sessions they attend daily. She personally interacts with the clients through the administration office on a daily basis, whether it be to hand in a note, pay a bill or just to say ‘Hello’. During her time at Mulleraterong she has seen that there are many differing requirements for each client, all of which are taken on board by the staff to make each day a success.


​Andy Ross

​Andy Ross joined the Mulleraterong team in 2009 as a full time Program Instructor and has since completed his Certificate 4 in Disability.
Prior to working at Mulleraterong Andy worked at WDHS for 22 years.
Andy is involved in the Garden Maintenance Program, Meals on Wheels,  Stakes and Pegs, Swimming at the Centre, and 1:1 support and outreach.
Andy’s favourite aspect of his job is doing his part to make every day happy and worthwhile for clients and staff. 

Brodie Golding - OH&S Representative

Brodie Golding participated in work experience at Mulleraterong  in 2012-2014. She joined the team as  a permanent part time Activity Leader in 2020 and gained her Occupational Health & Safety qualification and became the OH&S Representative in 2021.
Brodie previously worked for Southern STAY in Hamilton at the respite facility doing day supports and overnight shifts.
Brodie is involved in Individualised Supports, Numeracy and Literacy and Swimming programs.
Brodie enjoys her job and finds it  rewarding to see the difference staff can make to a client’s day when they are supported  to achieve their goals. 

Casey Barker

Frank Fletcher

Picture
​Frank Fletcher  joined the Mulleraterong team as a volunteer in 2006.
Prior to working at Mulleraterong Frank was a meat worker until 1998.
In 2008 he accepted a permanent part time role and was nominated by Mulleraterong Centre and was awarded the 2008 Rotary Club of Hamilton North “Pride of Workmanship Award “.
Frank progressed to becoming the Garden Maintenance Instructor in 2010 and was nominated for the “Peter Lewis Disability Support Worker” Award in 2013.
In addition to Garden Maintenance, Frank is also involved in the Community Drive and Leisure Activities.
Frank likes working at Mulleraterong, seeing the clients have an enjoyable and productive day.

Janette Gilding

Janette Gilding began working at Mulleraterong Centre  in July 2020 as a Disability Support Worker.
Prior to working at Mulleraterong Centre, Janette worked for the Hamilton Spectator as a receptionist for almost 10 years.
Janette is involved in the Swimming, Meals on Wheels, Personal Development, Art, Ball Blitz and Puzzles and Games programs.
Every day is different at Mulleraterong and  Janette enjoys seeing the  smiles and the sense of accomplishment when people achieve their goals. 

Jesse Shannahan

​Jesse Shannahan joined Mulleraterong Centre in 2021 and soon became an Activity Leader running Independent Living Skills, Tip Run, Community Drive, Individualised Supports and Friday Afternoon Swimming.
Prior to joining Mulleraterong Jesse was a barista, free lance artist and program coach at Hamilton District Skills Centre.
Jesse likes getting out and about and has organised for the Tip Run program to be expanded to pick up recycling from businesses in town.
Jesse thinks that one of Hamilton’s best attributes is that the community genuinely embraces people from Mulleraterong, and people from Mulleraterong  love being involved in the community. 

Michael Borrodell

​Michael Borrodell joined the Mulleraterong  Team in 2015 as a casual reliever and is now permanent part time.
Prior to starting at Mulleraterong, Michael worked in an alcohol distribution warehouse picking orders to go to retailers.
At the Centre Michael is involved in Swimming, Garden Maintenance and Individualised Supports.
Michael likes working at Mulleraterong helping to empower clients to try and experience new things. 

​Pauline Perkins

​Pauline Perkins joined the Mulleraterong team in 2018.
Prior to working at the  Centre Pauline worked as a wool classer.
Pauline is involved in the Pick Ups program which collects recycling from businesses around Hamilton and the Library program where clients select and listen to books then choose reading material they would like to browse through independently.
Pauline really enjoys supporting clients to reach their personal goals and contributing  towards clients  participating in their programs  every day.

Sallie Glare

​Sallie Glare joined Mulleraterong Centre in 2010 and became a permanent Activity Leader in 2015, completing her Certificate 4 in Disability in 2016.
Prior to commencing at Mulleraterong,  Sallie worked at STAY Residential.
Sallie is involved with the Community Inclusion, Corner House Cooking and Swimming Programs as well as Individualised Supports.
Sallie finds her job rewarding and assisting  clients  to fulfil their goals makes her smile. 

Anthony Ung

Anthony Ung joined Mulleraterong Centre Inc. in January 2021 and completed his Certificate 111 in Individual Support as a trainee.
Before working at Mulleraterong Centre Anthony attended Monivae College as a year 12 student and also helped his family out in the Milk Bar.
Anthony is involved with various programs in the Green Room, Art and Crafts, Community Access and Walking on Fridays, iPad Time and Hydrotherapy Pool sessions.
Anthony likes that his job offers him the opportunity to contribute to the quality of each of our client’s day, every day and continue to learn and self-improve along the way.

Bev McDonald

​​Beverly McDonald became a permanent Support Worker at Mulleraterong Centre in 2016.
Bev previously worked at IGA.
As Activity Leader, Bev is involved in Individualised Supports, Sensory and regularly supports the  Community Connections excursions. Bev completed her Certificate 4 in Disability in 2021.
Bev enjoys helping all the clients who access Mulleraterong services to reach their goals. 

Ellen Casey

​Ellen Casey joined Mulleraterong Centre in 2017 as a casual support worker and became permanent part time in 2019.
Ellen previously worked at James Dean Pharmacy and now shares her time between Mulleraterong and James Dean.  
Ellen is or has been involved in Music, Swimming and Community Access programs as well as Individualised Supports.
Ellen’s favourite thing about working at the Centre is all the different personalities, helping to support clients to reach goals, seeing their smiles  and making a difference in their lives.

Jacqui Bain

​Jacqui Bain joined Mulleraterong Centre  in 2007 and is a full time Activity Leader and Client Advocate.
Prior to working at  Mulleraterong, Jacqui worked as a travel guide at Whale Watch Kaikoura in New Zealand.
Jacqui is involved in the Craft Studio, Cooking and Meals on Wheels programs as well as 1:1 supports.
Jacqui finds her job  rewarding and she loves the programs she runs. Seeing  clients achieve their outcomes and going  home with a smile on their face is the best part of her day.

Jenna Loats

​Jenna Loats joined the team in November 2021.
As well as working at Mulleraterong Jenna also works with Southern STAY Disability Services.
Jenna is involved in the Tip Run, Swimming, Pick Ups, Activities and Sensory programs
Jenna likes working at Mulleraterong Centre, seeing client’s smiles, achievements, success and independence, and helping and assisting in any way she can. 

Kate Addinsall

​Kate Addinsall joined Mulleraterong Centre in 2017 in a casual role and became permanent part time Activity Leader  in 2018.
Before joining Mulleraterong Kate worked at the local general store and was in her second year of a diploma of nursing.
Kate is involved in the Art & Craft, Independent Living, Sensory, iPad Time, Centre Swim and Personal Development programs.
Kate likes working at Mulleraterong because it gives her the opportunity to assist our clients to achieve their goals and learn new skills. She likes to help make every day different and  enjoyable.

Pa-lin Henry

​Pa-lin Henry started in working at Mulleraterong as an Activity Leader in 2017.
Prior to joining Mulleraterong, Pa-lin worked with Southern STAY and Parklands, and volunteered with Riding for the Disabled.
Pa-lin is involved in the Art, Community Access, Banking / Shopping, Equine Therapy, Individualised Supports, Swim Programs at the Centre Pool and HILAC,  and Kitchen Kapers cooking programs.
Pa-lin finds it rewarding to  support  clients to achieve goals and participate in day to day activities which they enjoy, and loves to see them  laugh and form friendships.  

​Ruby Lang

​Ruby Lang joined Mulleraterong in March 2022 as a Trainee. Prior to joining the Mulleraterong team, Ruby started a bachelor of nursing at Fed University, which she decided to discontinue. Ruby is involved with all programs around the Centre and some of her favourites include Personal Development and  the community access outings. Ruby loves her job at Mulleraterong because every day provides the opportunity for her to  help  the clients work toward their individual goals and fulfil their happiness. 

Sarah Tarrant

​Sarah Tarrant joined Mulleraterong in January 2022 to undertake a Certificate 111 in Individual Support traineeship.
Prior to joining the team, Sarah worked at Coles Supermarket.
As a trainee, Sarah works in a variety of programs and likes working at Mulleraterong to help empower people and is hopeful to make a positive contribution.
